Ancient camphor and sage on the breath. If footsteps were possible, you would trail mud down hallways, make nests for stray creatures in the crook of your shoulder. Sending strange letters through smoke signals or flowers arranged at the door, that in their candour come across unintelligible; the ravings of a madman confined to their own company. But you are no fool. You speak in tongues, translate in the wavering code of the jay, sparrow and rook. You are tender of the trees and as such they tend to you too. Yours is the same softness as the earth after rain, with all the firmness of that same ground in which so many roots make their bearing.

The Originals
THE ORIGINALS are the first known family faction of GHOSTS. Representing some of the oldest beings in the GHOSTS Universe, they are of questionable sanity and unquestionable power. Most of their convoluted pasts are lost like loose threads to history along with whatever Unfinished Business prevented them from passing over in the first place. While we may not know what keeps them stuck in the liminal space of the in-between, we have been able to document the nuances of their unusual characters and collect odd stories that may give us clues to their origins.
